Physician JobsPulmonologist needed in southwest Virginia for an exciting opportunity to build a pulmonology practice in an area that represents the best lifestyle that southwest Virginia has to offer - four beautiful seasons, mountains, fresh air and adventure. This is a desirable opportunity that will allow the ideal candidate to grow the pulmonology practice with autonomy and full support of hospital administration and the medical staff.
Be fairly reimbursed for your practice and have an excellent balance between work and the rest of life. Practice in only one hospital. The ideal candidate will support the community as a solo practitioner and support the ICU staff and physicians/hospitalists in a consulting role. Will not be responsible for extensive hospital call 1:3 and will be a resource for physicians covering inpatient census. Physician will be able to perform sleep studies in the hospitals two sleep labs. Strong referral system with a defined need.
Primary draw area of 35,000 and a secondary draw area of 92,000. Hospital will work to support growth based on physicians needs through capital equipment purchases. Recruitment incentive package may include income support, practice start up assistance, sign-on bonus, student loan repayment, stipend for last year residents, relocation allowance and marketing. Practice in the community through relationships with current staff and a strong community presence. Salary of $250-256K offered.
