Pediatrician Job for Virginia CE178N
Pediatrician needed in southwest Virginia for excellent opportunity to walk into an established pediatrics practice; traditional inpatient/outpatient practice including health maintenance visits and immunizations, sports physicals, hospital consults, attend high risk deliveries and c-sections; modern, well equipped office located on hospital campus; attractive work schedule and on-call arrangement. Expect to see 25-30 patients per day 75% scheduled; 25% walk-in. The position entails 10% inpatient work and 90% clinic work. Patients include 30% neonates and 70% pediatrics.
There is an on-site lab limited. The hospital nursery is a level one with a pediatric ground transport team available as well as med-flight. The hospital has approximately 250 deliveries per year with one-half of the newborns being seen by a pediatrician. The remainder are provided care by family practitioners with nursery privileges. The pediatric practice also has a phone triage system for after hours. This position is available to a board certified or eligible pediatrician who desires to enjoy a successful practice in a family-oriented community and can start working soon.
Recruitment incentive package may include income support, practice start up assistance, sign-on bonus, student loan repayment, stipend for last year residents, relocation allowance and marketing.
