A Registered Professional Nurse functions independently, and directs the actions of others in performing the nursing process through assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of safe therapeutic care of the apparent and the suspected needs and complications associated with obstetrical patient and infant during the assigned work shift. The OB RN will provide nursing care needs for the following patient populations: fetus, childbearing mothers and newborns.
