MA Certified Pharm Tech: MSPCA 1040CL
The Pharmacy Technician is responsible for accurate processing of prescription requests received electronically, in person and via the telephone. Technician must be certified. It requires basic knowledge of MA Board of Pharmacy regulations, retail pharmacy practice and a familiarity with veterinary medications.
The ability to effectively communicate, orally and in writing, clinical information regarding prescription medication use to clients and other hospital staff is a core competency required of the Pharmacy Technician. Kindness and care for animals and respect for the client is a cornerstone of this department and organization. Salary ranges from $12 to $20 hourly/depending on experience.
