Certified Nurse Practitioner needed in the Tampa, FL, area. Trauma/Ortho NP is responsible to the Trauma Services Medical Director. Will work as a member of a team committed to the purpose of providing the best patient experience and exceptional health care. The Trauma/Orthopedic Nurse Practitioner works within the scope of the protocols for the trauma/surgical/ortho patient and under the direction of the Trauma/Ortho surgeons.
Functions include managing the care of trauma, orthopedic and/or surgical patients, performing procedures, preparing the patient for discharge, completing history and physical examinations, as well as discharge summaries. The Trauma/Ortho NP contributes to positive outcomes and meets the cultural expectations of the organization by exhibiting professional behavior. Must identify opportunities for and contribute to the improvement of quality, safety and cost, as well as patient, customer, and employee satisfaction. May perform other duties as assigned. NP must have excellent clinical and evaluation skills, ability to concentrate and be attentive to details. Must have ER, Critical Care, or Ortho Med/Surg experience. Prefer someone with surgical experience. Must be licensed in the state of Florida or able to obtain licensure. This is a Mon-Fri position with limited weekends if needed.
